After the guy said “please keep your applauses to yourselves,” if I were there in that room, no matter how much trouble I’d get myself in, I would seriously, literally, have stood up and given him a standing ovation until my palms bled. Just to take the piss out of the party pewper.
He makes a really strong argument, though, or at least raises a very interesting question… if [being gay was innate] were true, if that even were possibly remotely true - what does that mean to the moral force of anti-gay arguments?
Even if you’re not Christian, he still makes a strong argument. That guy who told the people not to clap is a total part pooper.
I love how people call homosexuality “unnatural” when there are so many examples of it in, what do you know, NATURE. The only place where homosexuality is unnatural is in your mind and in your bible.
That being said, bravo Rep. Simons. Bravo. That speech was well made and you have gained my respect.
Now, all we need is a politician which does their homework on gender and doesn’t assume that it’s a binary thing.
